Stainless Steel Duplex 2205 is an austenitic ferritic stainless steel that has constructive properties of both austenitic and ferritic steels. The high steel alloy has high chromium and molybdenum content which helps construct excellent mechanical properties such as uniform corrosion resistance to stress corrosion cracking and very good pitting. Duplex 2205 good welding abilities and can be welded using nearly all the techniques of stainless steel. This high steel alloy can be worked at a temperature of 600 ° F above that can cause embrittlement of the alloy.
